Description:
Are you ready to take your freediving skills to the next level? Join our open water freediving session and explore the depths of the ocean like never before!
This session is designed to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to safely and comfortably Freedive in open water environments. With the guidance of our experienced instructors, you'll learn techniques for equalization, breath-hold, general freediver skills and dive planning, as well as strategies for interacting with marine life in their natural habitat.

Course Outcomes: After successful completion of the PADI Freediver course with Freedive Geelong, participants will have the knowledge and skills to Freedive to a maximum of 16 metres depth.
​
Course Objectives: ​
At the end of the session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following skills at a beginner level.

Equipment set up.

Entry and exit techniques.

Correct weighting for Freediving.

Free immersion practice to a maximum depth of 16 meters

Constant weight freediving to a maximum of 16 meters.

Equalisation including troubleshooting for common problems.

Surface and active Buddy procedures.

Rescue a blacked out diver.

Performance criteria.

Competently perform Constant Weight Freediving to 10 metres depth.

Demonstrate the rescue of a diver simulating a blackout underwater.

Perform buddy role and escort a diver from 5 metres depth to the surface.
